Since 1917, McLean Sound has provided professional audio services to Melbourne
and regional areas. In the years since then, McLean Sound has become the leader
in outdoor audio, and audio hire. Our experience has enabled us to work on major
events such as the Melbourne Grand Prix and
The Melbourne Cup, as well as supply
schools, corporate, and individuals with tailored solutions at realistic
prices.
All too often, other hire companies try to convince you that the latest and
greatest equipment is guaranteed to produce the best result. Unfortunately,
equipment is only half the solution. Just as you wouldn't give a race-car to
someone who just learnt to drive, we wouldn't leave your important event in the
hands of someone fresh out of "Audio School". McLean Sound ensure that the
person supervising your audio not only has years of experience, but is also
professional, and appropriately dressed for your important event.
Naturally, equipment is a very important part of obtaining the result that
you're after, and we carefully select which equipment we hold in stock, and
recommend for your event. It is simply not the case that all speakers, mixers,
amplifiers, microphones or any other piece of equipment are created equal. A
pair of studio speakers wouldn't be heard over a crowd of 100 people,
whilst a pair
of outdoor horn speakers would be more appropriate, and probably at less cost!
Over the years, safety has become a major issue in all industries.
McLean Sound takes this very seriously and is always up to date with all the necessary regulations. Often your function will involve
our team working at heights, or on roadways. Key members of our team hold
licenses for Elevated Work Platforms, Traffic Management, Rigging and Dogging,
Heavy Articulated Vehicles etc. All of our team members are trained to work on
ladders using approved safety equipment, and trained to work on busy roadways
using the appropriate signage. Of course our safety is important, but the safety
of others is a priority. Simple measures are taken at every step to ensure that
hazards are avoided. Our policy
actively employs the prevention of such incidents.
